We are very proud to announce the release of a2z Pro. The sequel to a2z Convert. What's new in a2z? Everything! No really! Since launching a2z Convert we received so many e-mails with positive and constructive feedback with so many recommendations of units to add. It seemed to us that there was a whole community out there who are into units and conversions. The standard conversion utility gives you a list of units you can choose from. So, when you are caught in that compromising moment and quickly need to convert units, you'd just have to be lucky that the software you have supports that unit! Our developers thought long and hard about how to make use of this information and re-designed the whole application to make the user more in control. So here goes... The new a2z Pro allows you to add your own categories for units that are not already included in the application. What's more, is that once you have created that category, you add the units (and their relevant conversion formulas) and then you can upload it to our server. That way, fellow a2z Pro users can browse the online catalog of categories and download a conversion category which is of use to them. The process of creating your own category is straight forward, but you will need knowledge about that category in order to make it accurate and worthy of sharing. We will of course check all units uploaded to our server and approve them before making them available for others to download. To make things more interesting, we've included an icon set of 240 Apple friendly icons to choose from for your own category. Your name will be added to the category and you will be able to see how many people have downloaded it and benefited from your contribution. Other key features which have been added to the a2z Pro utility are: Currency Conversions - We have added 154 currencies which you can convert from and to. This is from live data supplied by the good folks at Yahoo! New interface - We've made the interface easy to use and implemented a feature to allow shifting of categories up and down the list for easier access. New Name - Since this is a major upgrade to the original a2z, we have named this a2z Pro. New Logo - Yes, we've changed the logo!
